Clarity is a private financial assistant operated for a single household. It is not offered to the public, there is no sign-up, and no one outside that household can obtain an account. These terms describe the arrangement between Clarity and the two people it serves.
It reads the household's financial documents and correspondence, performs the arithmetic on them, keeps a record of what it was told and when, and writes back by email. Every figure it reports traces to a document, a statement line or a recorded fact; where it cannot show a source, it says so instead of estimating.
Each member's information is scoped to that member. Something one member tells Clarity in confidence is not passed to the other. This is enforced in the software, not merely intended.
Clarity can be mistaken. When it is, it corrects the record and says so to the person it told, rather than quietly amending it. Members are asked to challenge anything that looks wrong; a correction is treated as more useful than agreement.
Either member may withdraw access at any time from their Google account security settings, or by replying to any message. Clarity stops reading immediately on withdrawal.
