Clarity — Privacy

Last updated 30 August 2026.

Clarity serves a single household. It has no other users and collects nothing from anyone who is not a member of that household.

What is accessed

How it is used

Solely to give the account holder advice about their own finances. Amounts are reconciled against the documents they came from, and the result is written back to the household by email.

Where it is kept

On a single private host. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and are never copied off that host, never written to logs, and never included in any message. Each member's material is scoped to that member: one member's mail is never shown to the other.

Sharing

None. No data is sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train any model.

Retention and withdrawal

Access can be withdrawn at any time from your Google account security settings, or by replying to any message Clarity sends. On withdrawal it stops reading immediately. Captured correspondence is retained only while it is needed to explain a figure the household has been given, and is deleted on request.
